Garbage

2005-02-21 - 12:47 p.m.

There's nothing quite like waking up to the soothing sounds of blood-curdling screams and shreiking. Well, that was the case this morning, anyway. Nelson was watching "Darkness Falls" on Starz! with the volume elevated to near ear-piercing proportions.

If ever I choose to invest in a heart-attack inducing alarm clock, I needn't look far.

---

Well, it's snowing again. There was about two inches on the ground last night when I went to bed, and now there's almost six.

We have a bit of a problem during the winter with the garbage pick-up. When the snowplows come through, they create snow banks up to three feet high along the curb. When garbage day arrives, we put the garbage on the curb, and it's supposed to be taken. Apparently, the garbage man has a back problem, and refuses to pick up trash that is placed up on the 3-foot-high curb.

What the hell are you working for, if your back is that bad where you cannot lift a 10 lb. bag of trash from navel level? There's nowhere else to put the trash! GRRR!

Well, today is a national holiday, so no garbage pickup. The garbage from last Friday is still sitting there. It looks ever so pretty with the newly-fallen snow gracing its top.

---

No plans for today. I'm not leaving the house in this weather under any circumstances. Yuck.

---

Nothing else yet. More later.

XXX,

Jamie
