Hmmm. Late. :-(

2005-05-09 - 1:36 a.m.

Nelson was off today, and is on vacation starting this week.

We had originally intended to use this time to move downstairs into Maria's apartment, but because of the legal mumbo-jumbo, we won't be able to move down there until at least Friday. There is a court date set for this Wednesday, and it appears that Maria's stuff may be exposed to the elements after all. (read: put out on the curb)

The man that wants our apartment was looking to move in by the fifteenth, but it appears that date may be pushed back. After all, the second we leave, our landlord has to replace an entire floor here in our (soon to be someone else's) living room.

Yes, I called the new landlord when I got home. I'm tired of waiting, although it's really no fault of his own. It's Maria's fault. And it's funny how when you want somebody out of your life -- that they just keep coming back into it -- in one form or another, anyway.

After the phone call to the landlord was out of the way, Nelson and I decided to stop into the video store to grab a couple of movies, and to get groceries. While at the video store, I apologized to Dominick for neglecting to call him two Sundays ago, and explained to him how a major turn of events played a part in my forgetfulness. He was very kind about the whole thing, and our friendship is still intact. :-)

The film I chose was "Darkness" starring Anna Paquin, which was odd -- but good fun. Nelson snagged "Blade Trinity", which we have yet to watch. We then went to the market for some groceries, and came home -- where I made a pasta dish with artificial crabmeat (since I can't have the real stuff)

T'was tasty!

We arrived home at about 10:30 p.m., to see our next-door neighbor Maggie, and our downstairs neighbor, Kay -- and quickly jumped on the Maria-bashing bandwagon. (Actually, everything we said was true)

It was very therapeutic.

That's all for tonight. Have a great one!
